"Visit to Chatsworth on 15th May, 2019".

The exhibition that was showing inside the house is "A Celebration of the Dog".

Several pieces were lent by Her Majesty the Queen, the most impressive of which was the self portrait by 
 

Sir Edwin Landseer with a dog looking over each shoulder.   Lassie is the collie on his right  (as you look) and Myrtle is on the left.

The large silver gilt table piece was designed by Prince Albert and shows four of the family pets.

 

My evening walk on the Chatsworth estate shows sheep with their adorable little lambs. All taken with my iPhone camera.
